An amazing quote from an amazing man. Take away the persona of “Rock Star” and you have one of the most honest, passionate, and down-to-earth human beings on the planet.

The words he wrote to me are the key to success. Nothing ever comes easy. No matter what, you must always give it your all despite any obstacles that get in your way. If you get knocked down, don’t whine, dust yourself off and give it your all again. The only way your dreams can happen is if you make them happen. Whiners belong in a crib. Achievers reach the top. That is old school wisdom at its finest.

The majority don’t realize this simple philosophy. I didn’t for the longest time. My only regret is that I wish I understood this sooner. Growing up, I always fought for what I wanted, but soon became discouraged due to the struggles in my life. As I think back, I now understand why nothing ever culminated at the time. If I followed Ted’s philosophy when obstacles got in my way I would have learned from my mistakes much sooner. Instead of dusting myself off, I gave up not because I couldn’t do it, but because I lost my passion to continue; therefore, I failed.

Most important, Ted’s theory proves a significant point. No matter who or what tries to stop you, never give your best, give it your all! Life will never deny you if you give it all you’ve got. Someone is always watching and ready to reward those who stand out above the rest in pursuing their dreams.

Whether it is through music or anything, every one of us holds the next big thing. We are all gifted and capable. When you know what your dream is pursue it with your heart and soul. You may have to pick yourself up and dust yourself off a few times, but in the end it is you who will persevere.

If you embrace Ted Nugent’s theory you’ve won. The few words he wrote to me were a gift that I pass on to you. Always work as hard as he did, use his philosophy, and when you win give a big shout out to Uncle Ted.
