Jerry Maldonado“God Always Loved Me” Ashley Smith Robinson- Author, Speaker

Throughout our lives we always encounter someone or something that not only inspires us, but offers a new direction in life. I had a chance to speak with a person that not only followed many wrong paths, experienced unimaginable trauma, but she never gave up.

Ashley Smith-Robinson is living proof that no matter what happens in your life, if you have faith, you will overcome it. She is one of the lucky ones raised in a family of strong faith. Little did she know that her belief that God always loved her would ultimately save her life.

Her book, ‘Unlikely Angel’ describes an event that would have driven most people over the edge. When I spoke to her it became apparent that she held no ill-will or regrets about her life changing past. She only focused on the future. Every word out of her mouth expressed passion, gratitude, and a love for life.

Every book that I’ve read throughout the years offered advice on how to handle misfortunes that come our way, but I finally spoke to someone who actually practiced what she wrote. On Occasion, I have to catch myself as I dwell on past situations because life is filled with triggers that can open old wounds. We all struggle with such issues, but there is a formula that is rarely offered and Ashley has fearlessly mastered it.

First, the scientific advice of professionals will help with the physical and emotional symptoms that trouble us. Next; and most important, spiritual advice is needed to cleanse our soul and offer peace in our minds to forgive and not carry resentment. Unfortunately, the majority of us only focus on the scientific remedies to solve what hurts believing that medicine alone can heal. Only when you heal yourself internally, can a full recovery occur.

For all you skeptics it is a known fact that incorporating faith into any healing process will not only heal you, but extend your life as well. I have known too many people throughout my life that ultimately died as a result of giving up. Faith will always offer hope when the chips are down. You just have to believe that there is a higher power watching you and guiding you along the way.

Today’s society often shuns this notion. Most consider it being super spiritual. Being politically correct has taken over this country and the word faith is used cautiously. I feel sorry for those who for whatever reason are afraid to incorporate faith into their daily lives. It is these people who are the first to yell, “Oh my God” or “Please God help me” when they are in trouble or despair.

If you think you have troubles, or your past keeps haunting you then read Ashley’s book. I guarantee the problems you have will seem small in comparison to what she has been through. Perhaps, if you take the time to read her novel you too could start the process of healing. This amazing woman has an amazing story to tell.
