Big Problems, Endless Opportunities - by Jarry Maldonado PDF Print E-mail

Jerry MaldonadoAll week I considered many different topics, but all seemed to follow the endless tune being played on every station; Obama this, economy that, the coverage is never ending. You have to wonder the mindset of journalists reporting the same news day in and day out. All I did was look into a little history and found some amazing results to stick a thorn in the side of these reporters to hopefully wake them up.

Every time a great crisis comes up the people of this country always find away to get out of it. Not government, or policies, but the people. When government does get involved it takes longer to fix and more pain and sacrifice is felt by all. It seems people with power don’t or are not willing to understand the true American spirit that has shaped this great nation.

For the millions who are unemployed, I feel your pain. Almost one year ago I was laid off from my corporate job and have been following my dream every since. Granted, it’s not easy, but I made the decision to be out on my own.

Each one of us has a dream. Sometimes we get pushed into places that seem scary, but that just may be a sign to step up and create your own destiny. All it takes is one idea and your whole life could change in a heart beat. The times we live in now offer endless possibilities for people to create things to help others. Just hold the vision of your dream, have patience, and you will find a way.

You might think I’ve been wearing my rose colored glasses a bit too long but imagine if a couple hundred million people thought the same way I did. Optimism breeds trust and ideas to help the mind solve the challenges we face. Negativity and ignorance blocks the mind of its creativity.

If you are unhappy or unemployed just realize how lucky you are to be alive. Ask any elderly person about hard times and their stories will amaze you. Most often they will chuckle at your whining for they are the ones who truly experienced hardship years ago.

The point is this evolution of change is nothing new, but a perfect opportunity for millions to follow their dream and create their own happiness. Sure the government wants you to think they’re helping, but the reality is I wish they would just follow three simple rules: The Constitution, keep taxes low, protect our boarders, and then let us do the rest. Every time politicians open their mouths they stick their foot in it and American’s pay the price for years to come.
