I’m going to share with you some secret information and after that, you can come to your own conclusion. Every business day, across the country, there are people in dozens of locations analyzing consumer market trends and trying to figure out ways to manipulate you into doing what they want you to do.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not who is into conspiracy theories about the trilateral commission or a secret shadow government but there are brilliant people who study human emotions and human behavior for everyone who is trying to sell you something.

The shape of shampoo bottles, automobiles and telephones have been designed by people who know what will catch your eye and cause you to feel an emotional urge which will lead to your buying their product. Did you ever wonder why children’s breakfast cereals are put on the lower shelves in the supermarket, at a child’s eye level?

Most television commercials have emotional appeal factored into the message so that you buy the product based on feeling good about the product and not on a logical need for the product. I know this is true because I spent thirteen years producing and directing television commercials as my primary career. Human beings have specific “hot buttons” such as the desire for sex, greed, the need to be loved, not wanting to end up alone and the fear of death. A good television commercial will manipulate at least one “hot button” and in doing so that shuts off the logical part of the human mind. You respond to the message emotionally rather than logically and that is why you might buy a product that you don’t need at all because buying it caused you to feel good.

You should train yourself to figure out what is the manipulation effort at work when someone is trying to sell you something. You must never allow yourself to get into the habit of allowing others to do your thinking for you. In trying to sell something, using emotional appeal is not evil in itself. It is the way of the world. So, before you respond to any message asking you to make an immediate decision, try to read in-between the lines and see if you can figure out what emotion that message is designed to appeal to.

Don’t allow yourself to be emotionally manipulated every time you make a decision. Even political parties view the public as nothing more than sheep that can easily be manipulated and that is why most political ads have a strong emotional message but seldom say anything factually specific.

What I resent in the agenda driven news media. Many big city newspaper reporters and most of those who work in television news have an agenda.  The news is presented in such as way as to trick you into arriving at one specific decision. Important events or trends that go against their against are seldom reported on.

Just take a look at the entire “Political Correctness” movement. On one level it is a good thing not use racial slurs. People should be judged as individuals and on the quality of their character and not because of their ethnicity. Then the whole movement went too far. If a man is promiscuous, if he enjoys sex with multiple women because he views sex as a sport, it is not politically correct. Perhaps he needs therapy because he has an issue with commitment? Oh… that is such garbage. It is the nature of men to desire and enjoy sex with as many women as possible. It is the nature of women to seek security and love. The fact is that men and women, when it comes to sex, our brains are wired differently.

If you’re a guy and you view sex as a sport, you are being true to your male nature. If you view women as sex objects, so long as your don’t disrespect or abuse them, you’re just being a guy. You don’t have to apologize or feel ashamed. You are in touch with your inner primitive man and there is nothing wrong with that. You are being true to you inner truth. I take my hat off to you.

Now that you know the truth that just about every major product in the marketplace and most of the news that is reported on the media has been designed to manipulate your emotions so that you respond how they want you to respond, don’t allow them to manipulate you. Train yourself to see beyond the emotional manipulation so that you can think clearly and make your own decisions about what is best for you in all areas of your life. Keep your mind alert so you can filter out the crap and the false messages no matter how emotionally appealing they may be.

I don’t want to scare you but I’ve heard about a group of scientists, descendants of Nazi researchers, who are working inside an underground research center in Europe who are trying to come up with a radio transmitter where they can transmit specific commands directly into the human brain. The big problem that they are on the verge of solving is figuring out the electrical biological frequency of the human brain. Once they break that code, they will be able to transmit orders to take action directly into the minds of millions of people at the same time. 

Personally, I would love to own a piece of equipment like that. Then, I would throw large parties invite beautiful women and sell tickets to hundreds of horny guys. Then I would send radio waves into the minds of the women at the party telling them to have sex with any guy who asks. Before long, I would have enough money to buy myself a tropical island in international waters and declared myself King of a new country and I would make sure it would be “the happiest place on earth”. Oh wait, I think that slogan is already taken. Then I would have to called is “the wildest place on earth”.
