All things in life move forward. Nothing is ever lost. Something done can't be undone. It's convenient to think that we can take a step backward or that something we once had is now lost to us. Most people wouldn't challenge that this is true. But, life is additive. Nothing is ever subtracted.

You are better today than you were yesterday. I'm not talking about how you "feel." You can judge and interpret what's happening to you as something "worse" than something before, but it doesn't make it so. Every experience we have adds to who we are. Any of us can look back on something we felt was a giant step backwards at the time and realize that as it unfolded and we saw it with wiser eyes, it was all for our greater good.

Consciousness is like that. Self-awareness is an ever forward moving phenomenon. You cannot wake up to the truth that you play a primary role in the condition of your life one day and then turn around a choose to blame others for your misfortune the next. Well, you CAN...but, even you will know it's a lie.

I've sometimes missed the days when I could blindly act irresponsibly and appoint everyone else in my world as the evil wrong-doers. It's a seemingly easier way of life. Never being held accountable. Never being at fault. Always the done-unto victim. It's seductive, but the allure always backfires. Give up the responsibility and you also give up the power.

If you know you are responsible for your life, there's no turning back. There's no one else to blame to feel better about poor little you. I guess it's what we call growing up. Yes, it's sometimes harder physically. But, it's so much more satisfying spiritually.

Is ignorance bliss? Observe anyone who hasn't yet awakened to their own divinity...do they look blissful? Hardly. You don't see that blissful countenance on someone until you look perhaps on an evolved soul like perhaps the Dali Lama. Ignorance isn't bliss, it's blindness to the fact that bliss is even possible.

Rejoice in your achievement of spiritual awakening and know that no matter what happens or what you do, you'll never lose what you've gained. It will only get better. You will only get better as you move ever closer to the truth that has been there all along. You are safe; you are eternal; all is just as it is supposed to be. And all that is good.
