When a person talks about “being successful” that term can apply to more than one area of life. There is success in business is and then there is personal success in finding true love and living a happy life.

Many people believe that success in business is all about working hard and never giving up. That is true. Before one gets to the point of finding an opportunity and chasing it, there are a few steps involved that happen inside one’s head. Every business opportunity that has the potential for a big payoff has a certain amount of risk involved.

There are people in this world that dream of becoming wealthy but they never will because they are locked into “thinking poor”. They avoid making serious decisions because they don’t want to think about the risks involved or what might go wrong. There are others who will make a decision but they never get around to getting into “action mode”.   First they want to get a few more little things out of the way. If you’re going to be successful in business, there comes a point, you must stop procrastinating, you must stop thinking about all the things that might go wrong and simply go forward because you believe in yourself.

When it comes to seizing an opportunity, some people never take a chance because of all the risks involved. Then there are those who will only get involved when it is a sure thing. In business the less risk that you take, the less of a payoff you’re going to get. If you want a sure thing, where there are no risks involved, then go get a day job working for minimum wage.

Now, if you go forward in your new business venture and should you fail, it is not the end of the world. Try to figure out where you went wrong and accept it as a life lesson. Take a short break so your emotional wounds can heal and then get back into the main arena of life. Whatever you do, don’t listen to anyone who wants to give you negative advice.

Every day when you wake up in the morning you will encounter opportunity and risk. Risk is something that you don’t ignore. Smart people will spend some time thinking about the risks involved and how to avoid them. Once you’ve done that, then it is time to focus on the opportunity at hand and don’t look back. If you ever start looking for a business partner you must never pair up with anyone who is locked into “thinking poor” you can’t change how they think and when things get rough, that type person will run for the hills and leave you all alone. On the other hand there are poor people who have big ideas and they’re full of ambition and drive. All these people need is someone who believes in them to give them a chance to prove themselves. Those are the people who usually make it in life. Success is a concept and before you can achieve it, you must feel it.

In life, there are several factors that determine if you’re going to be successful. I believe that many persons, who don’t achieve what they could have achieved, end up in that situation because they couldn’t overcome their fear of taking a risk. The simple truth is that your belief in your ability to accomplish has to be bigger than your fear of risk. So, if you’re on of those people who over the years have seen others become successful and you’re still working at the same old job, the time has come for you to look inside yourself, find your inner strength and get in the habit of believing in yourself. That is the first step on the road to success. After that, you will start to feel a positive outlook and ambition. Now, you’re ready to go forward.
